All records pertaining to land transfers are recorded in this office. Our land records begin in 1839 when Clinton County was formed.

A brief list of documents on file are deeds, mortgages against property, satisfaction pieces of paid mortgages, assignments of mortgages, and right-of-ways.

We also record land surveys and subdivisions in Clinton County. All of these documents are accessible to the public. Please reference the fee sheet for filing costs. You may contact the department for any other related questions.
