Conservation District Education Programs
Education has always been a historical and critical component of the Conservation District. Education occurs at all age levels and various groups. The Conservation District has a number of well-established annual youth education events, but also reaches out to adults on various natural resource and environmental regulation topics.
Rich Ramm Scholarship
A scholarship fund has been established in the name of Rich Ramm, a local farmer and agronomy graduate, who died in 1992. His friends have donated money for this perpetual fund, the interest of which is used to provide this scholarship. The Rich Ramm scholarship will be given to a graduating high-school senior or present full-time college student from any Clinton County School or Jersey Shore Area School District (MUST BE A CLINTON COUNTY RESIDENT) that is enrolled in an accredited program in the field of Agriculture. Applications are available from the Clinton County Conservation District and from a school guidance counselor.
Primary consideration will be given to those students who have continued to successfully challenge themselves throughout their academic career as indicated by course choice, grades, leadership and work experience. The essay required for the application will carry high importance in determining the recipient of this scholarship. Activities, awards and recognitions listed on the reverse side of this application will also be considered. Financial information may be requested in order to make a final award determination.
The 2025 Funding is TBD.
