Foster Care word heart

Clinton County Children and Youth Social Services is currently in need of foster families for children of all ages, especially older youth and teens. Becoming a foster parent can be very intimidating, but also very rewarding. We are looking for foster families who would be able to provide a nurturing, stable and safe home. Many of the children coming into foster care are in crisis situations and have experienced trauma. They will need guidance and structure as you prepare them to reunite with their parents. If you believe you have the heart, passion, patience, and a loving home, call us today.

Clinton County Children and Youth Social Services require foster parents to adhere to certain requirements and regulations. After applying for a foster care license, foster parents are required to undergo extensive background checks. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and financially stable. Foster parents must also be willing and able to provide transportation for the foster children. Like many children, foster children will need to be taken to medical, dental, and vision appointments per age appropriateness. Foster parents will also undergo at least 6 hours of training during the licensing process. This includes, CPR/First Aid, mandated reported, and prudent parenting. The agency may require more training depending on if they believe the families are in need of certain trainings
