Therapy DogsOakley and Lexi serve as Clinton County Therapy Dogs working for crime victims and children involved with Children & Youth Services. Oakley and Lexi are both Catahoula Leopard dogs and are rescues so there is a good chance they are mixed with other breeds. They are both from Louisiana. Both dogs trained and successfully obtained their Canine Good Citizen certificate and official title and they both successfully passed the Therapy Dog test along with Jen Bottorf, their handler. Since they are therapy dogs, they are not trained like service dogs or facility dogs to be able to withstand a full day of stress of working. Therefore, they rotate days to give each of them a break. Most days you will be able to find one of them within the District Attorney’s office. You can also follow them on facebook under “Clinton County Therapy Dogs - Oakley Nila & Lexi Lemonade” by clicking here.
